this book already has me hooked! as an incoming Master of Urban Planning student with a strong background in environmental science i'm all about this stuff. literally have only read the introduction but i'm soo pumped. i really appreciate that it's so easy to read and comprehend. so many urban planning books are the blueprint's of today's foundational work yet are difficult to read and understand (sorry jane jacobs!)

super interesting, about halfway through. You can really feel the research behind a lot of the early chapters. Chapters 4 and 5 switch to a storytelling perspective which has its own advantages.
