I genuinely dislike Ren's mom and even though I'm happy that they had the conversation I'm bothered that her reasoning was just sort of accepted. Her reasons for what she was doing were wrong, intrusive, and pushy. I would have had a much bigger problem with it all and made it a much bigger deal than Ren and would not have just accepted her apology and moved on like he did.
