Brother is INSUFFERABLE so sorry but I cannot stand Reid. The narration implies she’s undergone some big change or event that changed her perspective and like “hardened her” but I feel like I must have missed that part of the book somewhere it just happened out of nowhere.

Being suspicious is one thing but she just goes around yelling at people acting like she knows everything

It feels kind of info dumpy at the moment with minimal plot and mostly world building. Which is ok in longer books but I feel this is just too short to dedicate nearly entire chapters to? I appreciate the sort of community Reid is building with others and highlighting the ignorance of the privileged students.

What I struggle to understand is how suspicious she is of the whole university when she wasn’t in book 1
