It's gotten a bit better, less italics. However, I'm about 3/4 of the way through and I feel like enough could have been cut from this to end it around pg 300 or so.

It's not too bad so far. However, I see that the author is still overly fond of using italics to indicate stress/passion in dialog. Really wish she'd gotten a good editor who could have explained there are ways to do that without the italics...because those things are distracting after a while.

I LOVE the exposition…retelling perilous adventures to the Prince Regent in court, while our “heroic” hero reflects internally with serious sarcasm.
