There have already been points where I got teary eyed and I only just finished chapter 2. Fml.

“When I was growing up, I believed I was gonna do something really important with my life, like explore the universe or cure diseases. I never thought I’d spend so much of my life fighting over which bathroom I could use.” 

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on identity and this book is like simultaneously making me feel very seen and making me want to cry I feel like I’m going to have a whole essay for a review when I’m done
