Good lord do I wish Nikki Giovanni had been given more time to learn to make biscuits. Every work in this book is a little gem from a voice that was honest to the last. So much of it feels like a goodbye, and so much of it is unrepentant in its anger and vulnerability. This poet never disappoints.
