Got this from the Brontes parsonage in yorkshire 😛😛 #excited

i'm struggling with this book. the portrayal of her husband is so repulsive that i find myself wishing to put this down so i can stop feeling enraged. the descriptions of a toxic relationship with a worthless man from 200 years ago seem disturbingly realistic. it's so interesting how human tendencies and habits are universal and impervious to time.

I’m obsessed with this book. This may be the strongest of the Brontë sisters’ work that I’ve read thus far. How sadly underrated
