I think the genre of Stargirl is realistic fiction. It is realistic fiction because the things that happen in the book are things that happen in real life. For example, its like they have dinner together

many girls wore browning half-dead flowers in their hair. stargirls led them along the outside of the fence and that was the last any of us ever saw her that was fifteen years ago valentine's days I remember that sad summer

if she mentions the rat one more time i WILL throw up

this is pretty good but the rat is nauseating

bought this book at a thrift store cause I liked the book's title. I'm not the target audience but it's a cute book so far.
