Story is good. Writing is good.

I cannot fit this book into a genre. Everything about it is upper teen or young adult fiction—except for some language and some rather uncomfortable sex scenes.

An editor should have asked what audience he was aiming at. I wouldn’t recommend this to avid adult fiction readers. It’s youthful fantasy. But I surely wouldn’t recommend it to my homeschool teens either.
