BUTCH LOVE INTEREST, I WIN

While the yearning in this is fantastic, the pacing is a bit inconsistent. There will be bursts of action and character growth, and then the plot languishes too long in quieter moments. I normally don't mind quieter moments, but the quieter moments here are slowing down the novel's flow.

I am getting more invested in this now that political intrigue is under way! I love that Celine is an outsider and understands the political games better than the Duke. However, I do wish the writing invoked more emotionality.
