This is a beautiful story of friendship set within the backdrop of Iran beginning in 1950s Iran. It’s a powerful story of the strength of women and, as a subtext, a minority of men who stand with them. Highly recommend this well-crafted and beautifully written book. Can’t wait to read more of Marjan Kamali’s work!
