The cover art made me think that at least on of these ladies was not white, which might’ve made this book a little less awkward. Nothing glaringly awful has happened but yeah I think some of the scenes so far might have gone over better if the narrative wasn’t from the perspective of a gawking middle-aged white lady who. Unless that’s a plot point, we’ll see.
