Unfortunately I won't be making a dream alter :/
And yet again, this book is putting me to sleep while reading it! It's good info, and I can fully acknowledge that the way I'm reading it is psychotic- but I just want to get through it at this point 😭

In the playing with time section premonition is finally mentioned, but in no detail lol- the activity of trying to tell time without a clock does sound fun tho!

In regards to Control and Surrender- it's something I know I need to do, I'm just not ready. I keep putting it off because I don't want to feel that rn. I don't want to cry and I know I will.

I do knida wish they spoke about being stuck in a lucid dream, instead of only discussing trying to stay in one- I know it's very uncommon, but I have been stuck in lucid dreams before- even after dying- and I just have to wait to actually wake up :( I'd like to be able to wake myself up out of a bad situation.

I know it's really easy advice to write down your dreams, but this section was quite nice with all the suggestions

I absolutely love the ideas of making art to explore the concepts of context and juxtaposition- this is something we always did in art school :) even if you don't know what to make you can always cut up images from a magazine and pair them with each other

{Precognition and synchronicity} while interesting was a bit disappointing because the only precognition covered was dreams still needing to be interpreted and not dreams playing out exactly like they do in reality. Still it's nice to read some of the history behind it- and how these types of dreams can also be misleading.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), this book was putting me to sleep- while the information is perinate to the subject matter, it just wasn't all that interesting during this last bit - but The Shadow section was really interesting-perhaps because it deals with something that I'm going through currently: why does someone in your life bring a great source of agitation? What bothers you about them?

I really wish they spoke about preminition dreams or (exact) foresight in this section- it just seemed like the next step. Is it because not everyone has dreams like that on the occasion? But what about those that do?

sensory processing- a lot of these suggestions during the waking day are just good things to do for memory or meditation.

This is mostly what I've been using my dreams for: a diagnostic tool- what concerns me and what I prioritize, I just struggle with the last bit- redirecting my thoughts.

While I (personally) don't care for the spiels on the moon- I do think it's important and that the moon phases can influence people (I work in a public environment and I see people act crazy closer to a full moon). The spectrum of consciousness was interesting - and why someone might be avoidant of wanting to be "more conscious" - since I'm reading this at odd times, I can't really do the check in's while prompted :/

There is so much information on every page- but it's presented wonderfully! I really like the concept of dreaming with intention: WHY do you want to explore/reflect on your dreams- and I love the idea of "play" and think I'll actually implement that into my life (leaving a note in a public place for someone else to find- was my favorite idea since its both personal and detached).

Orienting your Dreamwork was quite useful, though I think the anticipation of dreaming with intention at the start of a new moon would make it so that I can't sleep lol. Though (generally) I like the notes of washing your sheets and having a physical notebook for dream journaling (I gave up on this in the past, but adding little notes to my daily journal would be nice ^^) I think plotting discoveries is the hard part

I don't expect that this is a book I'll "get through" per say- but probably one I'll skim. The subject matter is interesting and I really like the way the book itself is laid out (to keep engagement- everything is sectioned off nicely and there are frequent illustrations), it does read like a textbook (very informative)- but I simply don't have the time to fully dedicate to reading this book (maybe in the future)!
