No he podido avanzar mucho porque tengo mil cosas que hacer, pero lo poco que he leído me ha encantado. Al igual que "El Lagarto Negro", esta historia atrapa desde el principio. Rampo no es un autor que haga obras maestras, pero sí obras muy entretenidas, directo al gusto de lo policial más tradicional con toques extravagantes, intrigas e ingenio. Y por supuesto, una evidente inspiración en Allan Poe.

honestly kind of tired of the descriptions that lasted for almost half the book lol, i liked the beginning but i didn't expect so many descriptions of the panorama island, tho it seems maybe something to be expected.... i hope i'll be able to like these kind of descriptions in a book one day, i imagine that for some people it triggers a lot of mental imagery, for me it's rather tame boring imagery

Really enjoyable, more than I expected. I expected a normal detective story but it's more from the side of the criminal and it reminds me a bit of Crime and Punishment.
