I'm taking this book slowly, and annotating the fate of political figures (eg. executed for war crimes, etc). And aside from non-PC phrasings, he's very respectful of the peoples and cultures and treats them as equals. Love his dry humor that shines throughout.

Most fascinating: thus far, he is cautioning the West on the Japanese military threat. The propaganda quotes are chilling. Great read!
