Tom Hicks seems to hold VERY closely to his confession, seeing as he said, based on 2 Timothy 1:13-14, “It was not enough for Pastor Timothy to have the Bible in his mind, or to teach and guard the words of the Bible; he was also required to follow an organized summary of the Bible,” and while I agree that confessionalism is in the Bible, I feel like it’s wrong to disregard the Bible like he did.

Really truthful and well written so far; also seems very well researched and detailed concerning the historical aspect. I do feel like the logic he uses is a little overly complex and could definitely be simpler.

Chapter on covenant theology was great. Technically speaking You cannot be “reformed” without holding to the covenant of redemption, works and grace as overarching theological covenants.
