Not sure if I should just give up and come back later or push through

It's just... OK? It's very hard to get into, it's not descriptive, grappling enough

I get why the writer in the beginning note (written years after she first published it) says how other readers complained of not enough description and how she hopes she's better at it in her other series

It's hard to really get into
A third of the book passed already, but it isn't engaging

On the other hand, she also says how the main story stars later, b1 is just a prequel

This book is making it hard to get through, the writing is not it.

I think I’m going to have to put this book on the “DNF” shelf. I haven’t even gotten to the enemy part of the enemies-to-lovers part and I’m so bored and uninterested I don’t really care anymore.
