Status Updates From Slow Gods

I want to love, it because I love Claire North, her other books, her ideas, her knowledge, but this is sooooo hard to keep track of as an audiobook. This is my third attempt. The narrator was wonderful in "The first fifteen lives of Harry August", because that's set in the 1900s, and he has an old-timey voice, but it's not suitable for space operas. And the exo-pronouns are so distracting - why not just use "they"?
