Mccammons storytelling is so incredible I laughed out loud at the absurdity of this but the level of detail he gives you is incredible.

And then immediately after the intercom goes off and hordes of disfigured and/or insane people (giant and dwarf) people come running at them presumably to eat them???

Wow the scene with the department store and mannequins with real severed heads goes absolutely insane. Wow wow wow
