I’m surprised it’s taken this long to get to growth-at-all-costs in this book….

Here we are, at 91%, finally mentioning Taylor Swift by name!!! Yes! And all of the algorithmic loop style albums she’s released in the last six or seven years!!! They all sound the same!!!!! No key changes, no nothing, same chord progression, tempo, even key.

Ahh! And I’m still thinking about Gogol!!! These (booktok, instapoems) are the modern version of The Portrait!!

I’m still listening but I can’t help but think over and over while listening that THIS is why Taylor Swift is so mediocre and so humongous. And it’s annoying me a lot. Anyways, back to the book.

I am really, really enjoying this book and it’s what I thought the Anxious Generation would be: historical context, a discussion of technology in contrast to social media - all of it.
