Stage 101

Stage 70. This book is really a collection of random facts about Galaga, the writer of the book, and his experiences with the game. It does generate a certain nostalgia in me for the simple times of the old quarter arcades when I could go up to a Galaga or Ms. Pac-Man machine and play a few levels for a quarter or two.

On Stage 54. Which is much further than I've ever reached during an actual game of Galaga.

It isn't as relaxing as expected since the author intertwines Galaga history, mechanics and trivia with his personal history and the abuse he experienced as a kid.

Extremely short chapters, called "levels", each one telling a single trivia, author's personal experience or fact about the game and its gameplay. Not a life changing book, I'd say, but still a relaxing and informative read, I guess intended for people who don't know the game well (so far nothing very interesting in the longer chapters about the game mechanics since they explain the basics).

I’m speed reading through this because it is incredibly annoying how this was written. So fragmented and train of thought like.
