I keep dropping this and coming back to it. Once I left the construction portion of the book I kinda lost interest but I'll wrap it up eventually.

Fuck the one child policy chapter was impossible to read. Fuuuck. I didn’t realize the sterilization after first child was not standard across China and was just our especially fucked up province! I wonder if my mom was even aware of that. And it just hit so close to home too that my province was the worst enforcer of this shit and the massacres of 1991.
