A blush spread on Orion cheeks, although Pepper just smirked. Orion ran his fingers through his dark cropped hair, still getting used to having it off his neck. “Sorry, his volume button is up his ass, you see. I’ll prod it good, see if I can find the mute setting.”

Orion thought Whole Foods sold more than food. They sold the idea that if you just bought these alternative products, your life would be perfect and everyone would be healthy and vibrant. He wondered if the next aisle over had a selection of “jobs” and “mortgages” so you could get your flawless life in one place.

Ugh. Trader Joe's feels like that too lol.

This is fab, I love how deep Pepper/Roan gets into his role. A very thoughtful and well done book so far :)
