Status Updates From Young Fools: A Novel

Pretentious. Wordy. Trite. I've never read anything else by this author, so I can't tell if it's her writing style or if it's her intention that we're reading through the eyes of the most unlikeable narrator ever. Helen herself must have written this book, used a thesaurus on every.single.word., and added as many metaphors as possible. I have to finish to see if it gets any better, but as of halfway, I'm not hopeful.
