Onto Chapter 3. Either I’m in a two-brain-cell state from sleeping only three hours last night, or the chapters are getting incredibly dense. Knowledge of classic and contemporary writing is definitely presumed. I’ve had to look up references on the internet at times just to understand lol.
Still loving it, though. I like how the manifold “why” questions mimic the way I naturally think about these things.

Just finished the first chapter, and I find the subversive essay on giving up enjoyable so far.
Its philosophical dialectic makes a middle ground between the usual pop self-help book, with their ‘advice + anecdotes’ formula and the more scientific, expert-written kind of book.
