To add to my last comment: the author insist that task-level optimization is the bare minimum; but the companies who uses AI to upgrade their workflow will be one ganing the most out of it.

The second part of the book was interesting; the author tries to give a vision on how AI and commodotized inteligence will affect works which are shaped around tactic knowledge & coordination (what AI is already affecting), change the economic value of different tasks and roles (for individuals), and potentially affect workflows (or organizational level).

The first section of book could have been a blogpost; just a focused hindsight and interpretation of some changes with big effects: coordinations: like barcodes, containers, and all-in-one SaaS like like Stripe.
The second part seems more interesting, again hindsight on how inovations changed the dynamic of jobs (roles & workflows), where we are standing, and how AI might/will impact it further.
