I ASSUME the author is trying to flip the “it’s the second love interest” trope by having the FMC stick with the MMC, except she’s literally giving the readers no reason to like him. Not to dislike him. She’s giving him NOTHING. I’m all for playing with and going against tropes, but it only works when it’s done well
