Status Updates From The Feeding

In the middle of a tense showdown. Pretty linear, nothing too unexpected, but it’s compelling enough to make me unwilling to put the book down.

It is suspenseful, but I am lacking a true emotional connection with Layla. I think there’s just not enough emotional introspection, and she’s too hard-hearted to really like her. But the plot propels me forward.

It’s unfortunate that I’ve grown fond of two characters who will very likely die.

It’s quite the survival thriller. I only wish I cared more about the FMC. She’s so callous, it’s making it hard for me.

Sill don’t know what exactly the Feeders are and how they came about, and I would like to know.

I’m a sucker for stories that include a competition.

It’s giving The Last of Us meets Hunger Games, but with… vampires(?).
