cracking on through this work of entertaining philosophical fiction. A pain-in-the-arse ex-theatre director moves from London to a remote house on the Devon coast to live the nice life, away from his self-caused trail of messed-up romances/friendships. Characters from his past descend to ruin the seclusion and the whole thing becomes a dark farce. Strangely, the designation Londonderry, but not Derry, is used.
