Alya's story was really short too..... why was Vahn's so long and everyone else's so short?

Ali/Nevada has a tragic back story with the whole wife beating husband. How come we didn't get to hear about him?

I'm not sure if I care about Nevada's story. I want to know Alek's and Alya's story.

I feel like Vahn's story ended at such a random spot? How did he get captured? I thought that is where the stories were taking us.

I feel like I need some more back story? The prologue said that all the kids were rounded up but Devon wasn't until 2 years prior. I assumed they were rounded up as soon as they were discovered to have the powers?

Chapter 11 pg 127 - Vahn's story was so vividly described that it alone would make for an interesting movie; I'm curious to see how the other characters stories hold up and fit into the grand scheme of things.
