Finished the first play: Ajax! I quite enjoyed this one. Not very long, but it’s filled with vivid detail. Ajax, being arrogant and self-righteous, believes he is worthy of Achilles’ armor, which was given to Odysseus instead. He is filled with rage. He quests to murder the Greeks who he fought alongside with, but is driven mad by Athena, who sets his sights instead on livestock. Interesting and brutal.

I’m using this from now on lol

Guess I’m reading Greek stories now?? Anyway, felt like reading the first play in this collection since it takes place during the Trojan War, which might act as a little prelude to Odysseus’ story. Might get a good feel for characters like Athena, Odysseus, Menelaus, Agamemnon, as well. Who knows?? I don’t. That’s why I’m gonna read it.
