Status Updates From There's Something About Ari...

It's relatively easy to listen to this as long as you can suspend disbelief enough and ignore the writer's "shortcuts"

It ends fairly abruptly as well, but then at under 3 hours one shouldn't expect a lot of depth

The plot depends too much on a past when they seemed completely oblivious to each other's problems and unable to communicate whatsoever

Followed by a fairly abrupt ending.

This is the 2nd Bluewater Bay series. While I'm a reluctant reader of Hollywood books, this series is at a remove.

Ari is supposed to be a successful actor, but that really plays little in this tale.

Buck and Ari are said to have such a close connection as childhood friends. We're given precious little evidence of that with major aspects of their childhood lives unknown to each other.

Nick lets some really bizarre mispronunciations go uncorrected here. Fiat pronounced like "feet" Poignant pronounced with a hard G?

Oh fun, let’s have some fatmisia in the mix for good measure

Kinda glad I’m not planning to rate/review most of this series (curiosity and recent-past interest is why I’m diving all-in) because this book is kinda terrible on some fronts...

Oh honey, no... that’s so bad....

I'm really loving the voice here. And it's such a relief to have an MC who isn't a total doormat when reunited with his old love interest.
