DNF—The kids were so into this one in the beginning. The hype of Charlie finding his golden ticket is epic, but once they enter the Chocolate Factory, I started to have to do some editing. The chapter I attempted to read tonight was not just rude, but completely inappropriate. Not right for our kids ages (maybe not ever). What’s true—disobedience leads to real consequences. But not much goodness or beauty here.
