2 things that don’t feel like Harper, 1. Telling her parents “greetings parental figures” and telling Saylor “aye aye” and doing a mini salute.
To me, Harper isn’t a girl who does silly things. She’s more of a debutante so I feel like she would exagerare politeness to be silly. Like saying “good day to you Mr and Mrs price”. Maybe it’s just to show that she’s a silly teenage girl?

The one thing that I feel is super questionable is this decision to get tea with David instead of returning to the theater with Ryan… why would she do that? Sure, it’s nice with David but she’s literally leaving her man. And she said she didn’t care but still. To just disregard him in the theater is a bit wild

The set up of this book told me exactly what I was going to get with this book. Talking about lip gloss. But I’m glad it did. It helped me figure out what to expect as soon as I started.
I like Harper’s perspective. It’s not cliche, but it’s familiar. Like I see the reference to who she is but she has her own priorities and goals. I like it a lot.

Then I found it at a thrift store YEARS ago.
Then it sat on my shelf... for so long.

And honestly, I've always wanted to pick it up because the cover is so pretty, and it reminds me of little me watching my favourite booktubers-

and so- HERE WE ARE. I'm reading the damn book!
