I wonder if Lackey and Mallory fought—and defeated—their editor over this book. Is it entertaining? Yes. Is it riddled with echoes and probably 75 pages of fluff (so far)? Also, yes. And I don’t mean quiet moments that build character. I mean redundant sentences. Still, teen-me is so happy to be revisiting this.
