Status Updates From I Am Grey

You can't change gray. You can't even understand it. It's like smoke slipping between your fingers, hiding in its own little gray area. You can't talk to it because it draws breath from our unspoken words. It's the simple truth we all ignore. The simple truth we love to hate because no one likes to face reality. Fragile and wonderful, simple and unpretentious. It's the most beautiful color in the world.

Maybe I was suffering from a disorder. Maybe I was still in shock. Maybe I was schizophrenic, unhinged, or broken beyond repair. I didn't care. I needed to escape myself, to push away all the truths that wanted to resurface.
As for me... that girl was dead.
And she should have stayed dead.

Maybe they were all right. There was nothing I could have done differently, because the truth is that man must save himself, and there's nothing I can really do. Nothing any of us can really do.
