Well, so far, the story has made some (heavy-handed and clunky but still true and critical) points to consider regarding male supremacy and misogyny in modern day culture. It's true, it's ugly, and it needs awareness, but I'm perilously close to "bored" with this manifesto.

Great novel, really enjoyed it.

The author's note at the end pretty much confirmed my impressions and conclusions.

This is part murder mystery, part social commentary - particularly in regards to the gaming community - and part second chances. It's a good story but it hasn't sunk its claws into me.

The novel works on some levels, fails on others. Parts are really preachy and makes a lot of geek culture look bad.

I'm very impressed with Rosie and totally meh with Niles. The subject matter--diversity in geek spaces--is very timely.

Well, things worked out mostly for the best. A mostly happy ending. Niles and Jordan teasing Tim about twin fetishes was hot.

Niles is overreacting to Tim questioning him about whether Anthony could be involved in this. I get that Niles has one of the world's most rosiest viewpoints about any and everyone, but someone is killing these people. He needs to accept that he may know who that person is.
