I have to say I am struggling with this last book in the series. Werner's writing style differs to that of Messers Abnett and Lee to the point where it distracts from the flow of the story. There should have been a preceding short story about Darkblade's time in the Wastes and how he come to be possessed again after he had managed to exorcise the deamon at the end of Lord of Ruin.
