Very gritty and dark. If it wasn't by a Christian author, I wouldn't be reading it.

So this book has some swearing and a lot of mentions of crude things - so I wouldn't recommend to a younger audience. But there hasn't been any sinful thing glorified or sensuality, which I appreciate. I'm intrigued to see how this story of redemption plays out. Some deep thoughts being pondered. Now that Xander's remembered she's a Christian, will she share her faith with her rough companions?

Mrs. Williams is incredibly good at setting up world's and cultures through implications, it seems.

Correction, I meant Kale and his fellow bounty hunters.

Between the hard city desolation Xander faces and the bumbling craziness of Kale and his fellow mercs, this story is just gonzo good!

It may be interplanetary, but it has the dirty feel of a saloon city with Las Vegas decadence.
