extremely mid. it felt like a lot of tropes were there just to be there and didn’t actually add anything to the story. also, if you’re going to portray the mafia in a more realistic way (by having leon be involved in human trafficking), either commit to it and don’t make it a romance, or just don’t portray the mafia realistically, to begin with (like most mafia books).
