Having a great time, so far, but I don’t think he’s gonna top The Blue Peril from last year. Started out reminding me of ‘Death is a White Rabbit’/The Mind Thing by Fredric Brown and then, as I expected, really became like Island of Doctor Moreau, which inspired it.

So I just finished ‘Monsieur Dupont’s Vacation’ - the novella presented before the the main novel, Doctor Lerne: Sub-God’- and thought it was pretty effective, as an early attempt to drop a living dinosaur in the early 20th century. Scary finale! Next: Doctor Lerne himself…
