this is the type of predictable, if not cliche, story-telling that i enjoy - enough elements of the classics that keep me invested w/low levels of stress, ANDDD also includes refreshing + funny dialogue, monster world + cool descriptions of monstrous characters, and decent pacing. i need a book like this every once in a while.

already so much better than i expected, a bit much with all the excessive Kyle mentions at first (iykyk), but im so amused?????
