Family and friends want to help so much that they forget that the men and women here must help themselves first.

The most important thing about recovery is to have something to fight for. Guys with the most basic injuries take forever to heal if they have no motivation.

When hospital completes what they can do, then Oakside gets involved. Once men & women fully healed of anything that can cause infection, they’re referred to us. We provide therapy (physical or otherwise) & doctors; if needed - specialists like plastic surgeons or someone to fit prosthetics. Programs to help soldiers transition to civilian life.

Unfortunately, in southern Georgia we hardly ever get any snow.
