Sigh 😔 I had high expectations of this book, but I was really confused half way into the book, why are we talking to tree about our destiny? What happened to one of MMC at the beginning? DNFing for now. I do not want to enter a reading slump again.

I've skimmed a couple parts but I don't want to dnf this one. The plot is interesting but some parts drag on. Magic system could be in the story more- glossary was too much. I feel the main character ironically lost her rebellious nature after doing the main rebellious act, and even then it was more self defense than rebellion. She's giving damsel now but I can see room for her to grow a better spine... ha ha

Kind of skimming through some parts cuz it gets too descriptive or moves too slow. Might go back and actually read it. Interesting plot and main character though I feel her rebellious nature got washed out lately and she's just giving damsel vibes.
