As the saying goes... less is more. The concept and storyline for this series was interesting but the execution left a lot to be desired. There was a lot of unneeded filler that made this boring which could have been helped by just having one or at most two books. Also. To be the “black beast” the heroine seems pretty soft and helpless.

Ok. The putative hero’s violent rape fantasy. Complete with blood. Ummm- not liking this aspect. Perhaps I was expecting some kind of emotional connection between Finn and Catherine. He is just a bit gross. Hope it becomes, I don’t know- kinder? Guess I like some tenderness underlying the alpha antics. Well, it’s early days in this one!
