I'm still not sold on this writing style, and the MMC is kinda annoying me. I'm not convinced by his motivation

Sadly think I’m going to dnf. Honestly the first few pages were great. I laughed out loud when own hid the book in his shirt. I also randomly thought Owen was female in the beginning. I love the vocabulary but I’m not motivated to read and from some the reviews it doesn’t pick up until the second half and I’m too impatient for that.
