this book is supposed to have a "strong female lead," but Jessa does next to NOTHING, and when she's in immediate danger, she just ends up getting saved by a guy... a guy that she swoons over like she's dimwitted and refers to as her "black clark kent"

i'm dying reading this

you know, for a book that's supposed to be a thriller, it's not exactly thrilling to read rn

I feel like forty weeping emojis in a big text block of sad.

Now that just might be one of the worst lines I've ever read.

I indulge in a quick fantasy of stabbing him with my fork. Blood, screams, the whole bit. It's glorious.
