Authors seem to lack a consistent understanding of how they actually want parents to respond to concerning behaviors. Not to mention the authors consistently fall into labelling kids based on their behaviors and using adult assumptions to ‘understand’ the behavior. There are tidbits of messaging that is helpful but it’s so covered in misogyny and other problematic language.
