This is my “slow read” for 2026, and have just completed my first read of book 1. There is easily 75+ introductory pages, of which, I’ve read bits and pieces so far. Because it’s in iambic pentameter, I found listening to a recording of it makes it easier for me to understand what I’m reading on the page. this is another case of "classic literature work starts off really incredible slow and then gets really interesting once you pass that first chapter" just gotta get through that first section and then it's an awesome book
