I am really HATING this book. II disliked Diem in the beginning, but I have grown to respect and value his growth. Tallis, on the other hand, has regressed into an insufferable, immature, whiny brat. Let’s add the fact that the “parameters” given to Diem by the cartoonish villains are totally illogical. My goal in reading is to be entertained. This book is just aggravating AF.

Having read the previous three installments of this series without issue, I found the fourth volume quite challenging to complete. Although I did manage to finish it, I have decided not to continue with the fifth book. Please note that this reflects my personal experience as a reader.

Ok im getting into this, the start was just excruciating

I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m really struggling with this one. The mystery feels weird, and I’m not happy with Diem and Tallus as a couple in this book so far.

This author hates her character in a way that’s not even entertaining holy shit what,p’s the point of crafting a broken man and then taking pleasure in putting him in even more traumatic situations i hate it here

I used to love this series but i think this is as far as i can take it, i can’t stand tallus and he is ruining my reading experience hhh ill skim thru the book and see if i regain interest but eh
